Brass Threaded
Bushing
CNCPioneer manufactures precision brass threaded bushings, inserts, sleeves, reducers, standoffs, and custom CNC parts for OEM assemblies. We machine C36000, H59/H62, CW617N/CW614N, C69300 lead-free brass, and custom copper alloys with ±0.005mm thread pitch diameter control, 100% thread gauge inspection, SII XRF verification, plating DFM, and 24-hour quotes.
What Is a Brass
Threaded Bushing?
A brass threaded bushing is a machined insert, sleeve, reducer, or standoff that adds a durable thread to plastic, metal, fluid, electrical, or instrument assemblies.
Performance depends on thread fit, wall thickness, knurl geometry, flange seating, plating thickness, conductivity, and host-material retention. CNCPioneer reviews these risks before production.
-
100% thread gauge inspection Internal threads use calibrated plug gauges; external threads use ring gauges. Post-plating re-gauge prevents assembly failures caused by plating buildup, burrs, or closed pitch diameter.
-
Brass threaded bushing DFM We check alloy, thread engagement, plating thickness, knurl OD, host-hole tolerance, heat-set geometry, pull-out force, spin-out torque, and assembly torque before machining.
-
Swiss CNC volume production Small M1.6–M12 inserts, terminal bushings, grounding sleeves, and standoffs are produced efficiently from bar stock for annual demand from 50,000 to 5,000,000+ pieces.
-
24-hour quotes from a brass bushing factory Send the drawing, STEP file, mating screw size, host-hole size, plating notes, annual usage, or application requirement. We return pricing within 24 hours and DFM within 48 hours.

Product Portfolio
CNCPioneer produces internal-thread, external-thread, male-female, flanged, knurled, heat-set, terminal, grounding, standoff, and custom plated brass bushing parts.
Internal-Thread Brass Bushings — Durable Screw Inserts and Sleeves
Internal-thread brass bushings provide durable screw interfaces in plastic housings, electrical enclosures, instruments, sensors, fittings, valves, and industrial assemblies. We support M1.6–M30, UNC/UNF, BSP, NPT, blind, closed-end, stepped, flanged, and plated designs.
External-Thread and Male-Female Brass Bushings
External-thread and male-female bushings convert one thread size, standard, or interface into another. We check thread-root wall thickness, concentricity, plating allowance, slots, flats, hex bodies, and flange stops.
Flanged Brass Threaded Bushings — Positive Stop and Pull-Through Resistance
Flanged bushings add a positive stop, load-spreading surface, and controlled seating height. CNCPioneer controls flange OD, thickness, shoulder height, seat flatness, thread runout, and plating coverage.
Knurled, Heat-Set, Press-Fit, and Overmold Brass Threaded Bushings
Knurled brass bushings suit molded housings, ultrasonic insertion, heat-set installation, overmolded assemblies, and press-fit pockets. We match knurl style to interference allowance, insertion direction, pull-out force, spin-out torque, and host material.

Materials
Materials for Brass
Threaded Bushings
Material selection is matched to machining cost, thread strength, conductivity, plating response, corrosion exposure, compliance, and annual volume.
C36000 Free-Machining Brass
C36000 is the default for high-volume brass bushings because it machines cleanly, holds stable threads, plates economically, and offers good conductivity.
H59 / H62 Brass
H59 and H62 are cost-effective Chinese brass grades for general inserts, sleeves, fittings, and hardware. CNCPioneer verifies composition by SII XRF.
CW617N / CW614N European Brass
CW617N and CW614N support European valve, plumbing, fitting, pneumatic, and instrument programs when drawings or purchasing specs call for EN brass grades.
C69300 Lead-Free Brass
C69300 supports low-lead, potable-water-adjacent, consumer, plumbing, and compliance-sensitive brass bushing programs. It offers good machinability and corrosion behavior without the high lead content of C36000.
Manganese Brass / Special Brass Grades
Manganese brass and special copper alloys are used for higher strength, special wear behavior, or material-family matching. Machinability, plating response, and availability are reviewed before quoting.
Plated Brass Threaded Bushings
Nickel supports corrosion resistance, tin supports solderability, silver supports high conductivity, and anti-tarnish protects appearance during storage.
Surface Treatments for
Brass Threaded Bushings
Surface treatment is selected by corrosion resistance, conductivity, solderability, appearance, thread fit, and packaging. Plating allowance and post-treatment gauge inspection are planned before production.
Bare Brass + Anti-Tarnish Protection
Bare brass is selected when conductivity, natural appearance, cost, or downstream assembly makes plating unnecessary. Anti-tarnish protection is available for storage and cosmetic programs.
Bright Nickel and Matte Nickel Plating
Nickel plating provides corrosion resistance, clean appearance, and moderate wear protection. Thickness is reviewed against thread tolerance, and threads are re-gauged after plating.
Tin Plating for Solderability and Low Contact Resistance
Tin plating supports solderable posts, terminals, battery contacts, grounding points, and connector-adjacent parts. Thickness, storage, and post-plate thread fit are controlled.
Silver Plating for High-Conductivity Brass Bushings
Silver plating supports high-conductivity interfaces, RF components, terminals, and premium contact parts. Thickness, selective plating, anti-tarnish protection, and packaging are reviewed before production.
Precision Deburring, Chamfering, and Thread Lead-In Control
Miniature threads, cross holes, slots, and knurl transitions need controlled burr removal. Chamfer and lead-in geometry are matched to screw fit, insertion direction, and plating needs.
Laser Marking, Cleaning, and Protective Packaging
OEM programs can include lot codes, part-number laser marking, clean surfaces, VCI bags, compartment packaging, trays, tubes, and line-side labels.
Plating, masking, post-treatment gauge scope, deburring, laser marking, cleaning, and packaging are included in CNCPioneer's 48-hour DFM review.
IATF 16949 & AS9100D Quality System for
Brass Threaded Bushings
The quality system focuses on alloy identity, thread fit before and after plating, insert retention, and traceability from prototype to volume supply.
Brass Alloy Verification + Thread and Plating DFM Before Machining

Brass Threaded Bushing FAQ
Common questions about quotes, alloy selection, plating allowance, thread gauge inspection, prototypes, and volume production.
The fastest quote comes from a 2D drawing or STEP file with material, thread size, ID, OD, length, flange, knurl, plating, and quantity. Without a drawing, send mating screw size, host-hole dimensions, installation method, strength targets, finish, and annual usage.
C36000 is the best default for most programs. H59/H62 fit cost-sensitive China-standard parts. CW617N/CW614N fit European valve and fitting projects. C69300 is selected for low-lead or compliance-sensitive requirements.
Plating adds thickness to thread flanks. CNCPioneer reviews plating thickness during DFM, adjusts thread allowance when needed, masks critical areas if required, and performs 100% post-plate thread gauge inspection.
Prototype brass bushings usually take 3–5 business days; plated prototypes often take 5–8 business days. Complex or lead-free parts may take 7–12 business days. Production timing depends on alloy stock, CNC cycle time, plating, inspection, and quantity.
