Component Scope and Drawing Review

CNCPioneer supplies individual CNC-machined parts for charging equipment. Complete charging guns, plug assemblies, vehicle inlets and charging stations are outside this supply scope.

This page covers small machined hardware inside charging equipment: terminals, threaded connection parts, sleeves and spacers supplied to the equipment manufacturer.

Send the individual component drawings from the equipment assembly. Cabinet fabrication, charger electronics, software and system assembly are outside the machining quotation.

The equipment designer or integrator defines and validates electrical rating, temperature rise, mating performance, sealing and system compliance. A machined part or dimensional report does not establish those assembly ratings.

  • Identify the supplied itemUse a component drawing and part number, rather than a whole-station drawing or charger power rating.
  • Connection featuresDefine contact faces, threads, cable interfaces and locating dimensions required by the equipment design.
  • Mechanical hardwareDimension sleeves and spacers with their mating fits, mounting faces and edge requirements.
  • Separate system validationSpecify any component tests separately; thermal, electrical and complete-equipment validation remain with the assembly program.

Plan the Machining and Acceptance Requirements

Review the individual component before confirming the production route, price and schedule.

Geometry and access

Review diameters, bores, threads, shoulders and milled features together. Restricted access or thin sections may require changes to the proposed process.

Material and condition

State the exact material specification, stock condition and permitted alternatives. Confirm availability and any treatment before ordering.

Finish and final dimensions

Identify functional surfaces, masked areas and the condition in which dimensions are accepted. Include any required measurements after finishing.

Quantity and documentation

Share initial and repeat quantities, the target date and required records. Inspection coverage and delivery timing are confirmed with the quotation.

What to Include in Your Quote Request

Send the component drawing and clarify the supplied item before requesting pricing.

  • 2D drawing and available 3D CAD with matching revision.
  • Exact material grade, condition, quantity and repeat-order expectations.
  • Critical fits, datums, threads, edge limits and finishing requirements.
  • Inspection records, target date and any component qualification requirements.

Component Examples to Specify

Examples illustrate individual machined parts. The accepted drawing defines the supplied item and its inspection requirements.

Terminal components

Terminal components

Individual machined terminal geometry for a specified connection interface. Include material and contact-face requirements.

Sleeves and locating parts

Sleeves and locating parts

Bores, shoulders and mating diameters are reviewed together with the assembly fit and surface condition.

Industries & Applications

Application images show the assembly environment. The supply scope is the individual machined component defined in the quotation.

Materials

Material Options for Drawing Review

Specify the exact grade and condition selected for the component. Availability, finishing compatibility and suitability require project review.

Grade and condition to drawing

Copper and specified copper alloys

Provide the exact alloy and condition selected for the contact or terminal. Include the finish stack and required material records.

Grade and condition to drawing

Brass

Specify the grade, contact or mechanical function, and any plating requirements. Confirm the material selection against the assembly design.

Grade and condition to drawing

Stainless steel

For specified mechanical sleeves, locating parts or fasteners, identify the grade, fit and required surface condition.

Grade and condition to drawing

Aluminum

For specified spacers or mechanical hardware, identify the alloy, temper, threads and finish.

Finish selection

Define the Finish on the Drawing

Include the finish specification, surfaces covered, masking and post-process dimensions. Process availability and documentation are confirmed for the order.

Drawing requirement

Deburring and edge requirements

Identify edges that contact seals, cables or mating parts. State permitted edge breaks and burr limits rather than relying on a generic deburr note.

CNC-Machined EV Charger Components Questions

Do you supply complete charging equipment?

CNCPioneer supplies individual CNC-machined parts for charging equipment. Complete charging guns, plug assemblies, vehicle inlets and charging stations are outside this supply scope.

What is the focus of this component page?

This page covers small machined hardware inside charging equipment: terminals, threaded connection parts, sleeves and spacers supplied to the equipment manufacturer.

Does a machined component have an electrical or sealing rating?

The equipment designer or integrator defines and validates electrical rating, temperature rise, mating performance, sealing and system compliance. A machined part or dimensional report does not establish those assembly ratings.

How should plating and mating dimensions be specified?

Identify the substrate, finish specification, coated and masked surfaces, and whether each controlled dimension applies before or after plating. Include the mating-part drawing where it affects acceptance.

What is required for a quotation?

Send the current component drawing, available model, material grade and condition, quantity, finish, critical dimensions and required records. Price, feasibility, any secondary operations and delivery timing are confirmed for that scope.
